An election for the role of VP of Football will be held on Sunday, March 2nd in the Parkview Room at Prior Lake City Hall. All head coaches and board members from the 2024 season are eligible to vote. All P.L.A.Y. board meetings are open to the public.
If you are interested in the VP position, please put your name in the hat by no later than Thursday, February 27th. You can do this by emailing admin@playinfo.org. Please also e-mail if you have interest in helping the P.L.A.Y. program in other ways! The Football program currently serves nearly 700 young athletes annually.

Our football program starts with K, 1st, and 2nd grade flag football. From there, players transition into our 3rd grade rookie tackle program, followed by tackle in grades 4th - 8th grade.
The K - 4th grade teams will play as part of the In-House program, where they will play other Prior Lake teams.
The 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teams will again be playing in the SouthWest Metro League (SWML) Traveling Program, giving all players the opportunity to compete against other youth organizations at an equally competitive skill level.
We are extremely fortunate to have PLHS Varsity Football Head Coach Matt Gegenheimer participate in the football board leadership. His vision is to create a singular football program, beginning at the flag football level, and works progressively all the way through the Varsity level of football. We are working with Coach Gegenheimer to create the building blocks of a very successful football Prior Lake football program; one that is consistent, successful, and enriching throughout all levels.

August 5th - 8th - Training Camp/Evaluations (3rd - 8th)
August 8th - 11th - Team Formations/Player Drafts (3rd - 8th)
August 12th - PLAY Football Season Starts (K - 8th)
August 21st - PLHS/PLAY Football Blue/Gold Game (6th - 8th)
October 12th - Season Completion (K - 8th)
October 21st - 24th - Equipment Return
