Welcome to 12U Girls Lacrosse

Tryouts for Prior Lake 12U teams will take place April 28th at the Savage Dome and May 5th at TOMS from 4-5pm.  It is expected that players attend both tryouts.  12U teams will be announced May 6th.

Outdoor practices will start at the beginning of May, weather permitting, and will practice Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-7 p.m. at Twin Oaks Middle School.  Starting June 17th, practices will move to three days per week - Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Teams participate through MSLAX ( and starting in mid-June, 12U teams will play approximately 8 league games against teams from surrounding communities.  In addition to weekday games, 12U teams will play in 3 weekend tournaments - the Bloomington Bait Bucket (June 7-9) or STX (July 19-21), the Prior Lake Invitational (June 28-30), and the MSLax State Tournament (August 2-4).

Prior Lake Girls 12U teams are coached by paid head coaches along with parent volunteers.  Coaching education and training is provided by P.L.A.Y. and the Girls Development Director, Heather Pierson.

The goal of 12U is skill development and team play in an effort to develop a player's individual skill, but most importantly developing a "team-first" mentality.

For those new to the game, please visit the “Registration FAQ’s” on the Lacrosse home page which provides a lot of information about the game and P.L.A.Y. Lacrosse.

Any and all questions or concerns should be directed to the Director of Girls Lacrosse, Ryan Sandell.
