Traveling Softball is holding Tryouts for the 2009 14U and 16U Summer Teams this Fall

The expectation for Fall Ball is that this is either a test drive of traveling softball for your daughter, or a chance for experienced players to get a little more playing time while the weather is still nice. If you register and we don’t place your daughter you will get a full refund. We try to place everyone who signs up, but we also try to keep the team size between 12 and 13 players and sometimes the numbers just don’t work.
Fall ball consists of 4 Sunday Double header games plus one weekend state tournament Saturday and Sunday. All games will be played somewhere in the metro, but might be as far away as Stillwater or Blaine. Many times they are closer (Eden Prairie, Lakeville). Additionally dependent on the coach there will be 2-3 scheduled practices in the Prior Lake Savage Area. Although attending all practices and games is highly recommended we understand that there may be conflicts with other fall sports and it is okay to defer to the sport in it’s main season in lieu of Fall Softball. Obviously if you are new to traveling softball it is of great importance to make every effort to attend practice as that is where the sport is taught and learned.
Cost for registration is $80. Your child will need to have a glove and proper footwear. In addition your child will need a batting helmet with a faceguard, compression shorts, and a sliding pad. Those items can be purchased through PLAY (see Equipment Ordering on website) or bought at a sporting goods store. PLAY will supply bats, catcher’s gear, and softballs to the teams. You will not need to buy a uniform for fall ball. We supply t-shirts at the younger ages as a team uniform, and supply loaner jersey’s at the older ages for the few kids that don’t have uniforms.
Signup is based on your age eligibility for the 2009 summer season. Listed below are the birth years associated with each age level.
