Prior Lake Athletics for Youth Basketball is excited to be able to provide the opportunity to become an official. Many of the officials are your neighbors or alumni of the youth basketball program. This is a great way to stay active in the game and learn a new skill that can provide many future opportunities.

Our officials are providing an inexpensive service to our program in an important role for the entirety of the game. P.L.A.Y. uses this to provide a good example for the younger kids they officiate, giving them an opportunity to develop and learn just like the players on the floor.

Officials must be high school age or older.

Prior Lake Athletics for Youth Basketball is proud to partner with Minnesota Youth Athletics Services (MYAS) to host an officiating clinic. This is free for all officials in our program.

Whether you are new to officiating or have experience, Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS) has tools to help you prepare as you work through the season. They host clinics and offer training as well as officiating opportunities. Please see the link below for full details.
