Volunteer Information

Pre-Season Wind Screen Installation

Last season the PLAY Tennis program was able to purchase Wind Screens for the Twin Oaks Middle School tennis courts and may need assistance with installation prior to the season.

On Court Volunteers (Large Group Classes)

Being an on court parent volunteer is a great way to get a closer look at the instruction and help keep players focused during large group drills.

All drills will be introduced and demoed by Coaches but interested parents may be selected to feed or toss balls or supervise small groups.

  • Interested volunteers should introduce themselves to Head Coach at the start of practice and be ready to assist if called.

Ball Hoppers (Small Group Classes)

Keeping the ball baskets full during drills is key to maximizing the  repetitions of each player. Parents planning to stay and watch practice and interested in getting a closer look at the instruction can volunteer to help pick up balls and keep the ball supply stocked.

  • Interested volunteers should introduce themselves to the Head Coach at the start of practice and be ready to assist during hitting drills.

Tennis Board and Planning Opportunities

As the Tennis Program grows, PLAY Tennis is always interested in hearing from volunteers interested in providing additional administrative, coordination or planning support.
