Dear Parents, Players and Coaches:
Cheerleading: An exciting, fun, challenging,
and energetic sport. Girls will learn teamwork, discipline,
perseverance, coordination, and cheers while building self-confidence
and winning attitudes.
They will promote team spirit by working together making
banners, noise makers, and other cheer projects.
In developing these traits, our children will not only be
successful in cheerleading but successful in life.
This gives every girl who desires to be a cheerleader the
ability/chance to be able to participate in the sport of cheering.
Most of all we want every girl who participates to have a
good learning experience in the sport of cheering along with
developing their character and making new friends.
Girls will cheer at the Saturday P.L.A.Y. Football games,
including the parents with chants and a possible halftime
routine at the end of the season.
Registration: Open until August 10, 2007.
$150.00 includes all fees for P.L.A.Y. and covers the Cheerleading
uniform (Cheer Shell, Skirt, Turtle neck, briefs, hair ribbon,
socks, and Pom-poms), which the girls will keep.
Practice Dates: Monday and Saturdays. Time
will depend on the Cheer Coach Moms. Once the football games
start, Saturday will be our Cheer Day, leaving Monday as practice.
Days are subject to Change depending on number of applicants
for Cheerleaders and Cheer Mom Coaches. We would like to limit
it to Mondays and Saturdays so that your child can sign-up
and participate in other after school activities. Please plan
to be at the first practice August 13, 2007. Your Cheer Coach
will be calling you with location and time.
Ages: All 1st – 8th grades welcome.
No experience required.
Awards: All girls will receive a trophy
for her participation in Cheer at the end of year awards ceremony!
Location: Practice will be held at Ponds
or Ryans fields in Prior Lake. We also have access to a School
gym if the weather is cold.
Cheer Moms needed ----No experience necessary!
